The Glass Station

The Glass Station is located at 54 Main Street in Rocky Harbour.

About the Studio: Artist Urve Manuel built this Gallery and Studio from the ground up, including logging and milling the lumber. Now the Glass Station boasts a curated collection of fine art and craft from across the province, as well as Urve’s glass work. With the addition of Squid Row Café on the premises, visitors can enjoy a lovely espresso made from locally roasted beans (Gros Morne Coffee Roasters) and home-made treats while they browse the lovely selection of hand-made goods. Light, bright, and airy, The Glass Station is a must-see location for everyone while visiting the Gros Morne region.

About the Artist: Inspired by nature, Urve Manuel captures the joy she finds in the beauty of the outdoors in her glass work, whether it be a free-standing landscape panel, a traditionally-made leaded glass panel, or in her unique three-dimensional pate-de-verre sculptural pieces and vessels. Her experiences in the wilderness of the Gros Morne region are reflected in all her work.

Examples of the stunning glass work created by Urve Manuel, on display along with other treasures from Newfoundland & Labrador, at the Glass Station.

What can visitors expect during Open Studio Days? Visitors will have the opportunity to chat with artist Urve Manuel and ask questions about her unique glass pieces and the other treasures that can be found in her beautiful shop.
