Creative Gros Morne is seeking proposals from the creative community for the Connecting through Culture project.
The Connecting through Culture project is designed to encourage creativity and provide the means for members of the cultural community to cultivate ideas and develop projects. The program is open to artists and performers involved in all genres of the cultural sector, including visual, literary and performing arts, crafters, film/video/media arts, culinary arts and inter-disciplinary arts. Creative Gros Morne hopes to facilitate ten or more projects which will be launched in Gros Morne National Park starting this fall.
Interested applicants are encouraged to prepare a project proposal which explores the theme of connecting through culture and which incorporates or showcases the uniqueness of Gros Morne National Park and/or Newfoundland and Labrador. This can be achieved in creative ways, such as demonstrating a skill or tradition, showcasing a scene or symbol, capturing a story in word or music, or preserving a piece of local heritage.
The project is open to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador and applications are due to Creative Gros Morne by Friday, September 19, 2025. A selection committee will review the applications, and it is anticipated that successful projects will be chosen by September 30, 2025.
